Here’s a list of five websites that I’ve found to be helpful in saving money on various things. These sites list just about everything from household goods to electronics to clothes. A brief description of the site lets you know what it features and how it works. Some of these sites I obtained by looking through the archive and directory of MakeUseOf.com (a link is to the left on the Blogroll). If you like saving money, these sites will definitely help you out!

Buy.com – Buy.com has an awesome Deals section. Every day it is updated with new deals that are available and most of them involve over 50% savings on very good products. They often feature electronics, jewelry and DVDs at very low prices. This is a great site if you’re browsing to buy something or are thinking about getting a gift for someone.

Dealighted.com – Dealighted.com is a comprehensive site that feeds off of other deal sites like SlickDeals and FatWallet. Dealighted lists the hottest deals posted on various other sites and compiles them into a nice, thread-type format that is very easy to look at and manage. The site lists things from just about every category including electronics, TVs, household goods and apparel.

FreshBargains.net – Fresh Bargains is pretty similar to Dealighted. I often find the same things listed on both sites but there are times that the content varies. Fresh Bargains is pretty much only a search site but the ‘Last 24 hour deals’ link in the upper right displays all of the deals posted in the past 24 hours. This is good for browsers or people just figuring out or researching something to potentially purchase.

DealCatcher.com – Deal Catcher is a great site because it features items found on regular retail sites that have been placed on sale or on clearance. For example, some of the deals on Deal Catcher come from JCPenny, Best Buy and Circuit City. It also includes places like Newegg.com and 1-800-FLOWERS. I’ve found a lot of good stuff on this site and if you’re a reseller of items, this site will definitely help you out. It’s worth the click…

RetailMeNot.com – This is probably in my list of top five best websites of all time. I love this site because it’s saved me a lot of money. It lists various online coupon codes and discount codes for various websites. It’s not limited only to retail sites, but also includes photo processing sites and even website subscription codes. If you’re an online shopper, check out this site next time you buy something because it may save you some money. The codes can also be rated on accuracy and you can know which ones work best over others. In short, this site is awesome.
